A Study App Built From Love, Courage, and a Lifelong Love of Learning

UnCram is not just an app, it is a tribute to my grandmother, the most honourable woman I have known, Sabira Begum.

She grew up in a time and place where girls were rarely encouraged to pursue education, yet she learned English, went to school, learned how to drive, and lived with strength and dignity in a male dominated world.

After facing lifelong challenges and hardships, she immigrated to Canada with her beloved husband, the most honourable man, Nisar Ahmed, who lovingly supported her every dream, and together they raised ten children. In a new country, with few supports and many obstacles, she kept doing what she had always done, she kept learning. She taught herself English and French, worked tirelessly to provide for her family, and became a proud and honourable Canadian citizen.

In Canada the challenges did not end. As a visible minority woman building a life in a new country, she faced barriers, prejudice, and expectations shaped by a male dominated world. Yet she met each obstacle with quiet strength and dignity, standing up for her rights, advocating for fairness and equality, and showing her family that courage and compassion can reshape the world around us.

Despite never having the chance to complete school as a child, she never stopped seeking knowledge. Her presence commanded love, respect, peace, and honour, quietly shaping everyone around her through patience, courage, and an unwavering belief that learning could change a life.

My grandmother was a special person, and her journey inspired me to build something that carries that same spirit forward, an affordable, supportive study app for every kind of learner, especially those who are often overlooked.

UnCram: A Sabira Begum Inspiration launches with gentle gamification and a thoughtful focus on mental well being. Progress streaks, encouraging badges, and simple goals are designed to motivate without pressure, celebrating effort, not perfection. Calming visuals, optional check ins, and reminders to rest help learners build healthy study habits and reduce overwhelm.

Everything is created with neurodiverse learners in mind, including students with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and anyone who benefits from structure, encouragement, and kindness.

🤝 Honesty About AI, Because You Deserve Transparency

UnCram uses AI to help generate practice questions and study support, and I want to be upfront:

Sometimes a question might not fully match your topic
Wording might feel imperfect
Or instead of generating 10 questions, you may get 7
Multi-file chat questions are still in progress; the most reliable answers come from selecting a single file
General Chat does not have live web access yet, so real-time weather or news may be out of date
General Chat recalls the most recent 20 messages to maintain context

We are always working to improve this, but I will not pretend it is flawless.

That is why UnCram is priced affordably, so learners have access without financial strain, even while the technology grows and improves.

UnCram is intentionally affordable:

CAD $7.99 per month (plus applicable taxes)

CAD $71.91 per year (plus applicable taxes)

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes.

This allows students to access meaningful tools without sacrificing groceries, textbooks, or mental health.

And when UnCram grows:

Your subscription helps make the app better for everyone.

A significant portion of revenue will be reinvested into:

better paid AI models
accessibility improvements
new tools and features

There may be a small price increase in the future as technology expands, but current subscribers will have access to grandfathered plans and fair loyalty options.

Because loyalty goes both ways.

🎓 The Sabira Begum Scholarship

Once UnCram is sustainable, I will establish a $5,000 annual scholarship in memory of Sabira Begum, awarded to a student who demonstrates courage, resilience, and a true love of learning, no matter their circumstances.

This is more than a promise, it is a commitment to honoring the woman who inspired this journey.
